Hum Saath Saath Hain Magic of HAHK WebCard Rajshri Music Photo Presentation Downloads Newsletter Mailbag Quiz Business | Sooraj Barjatya strikes gold for the third time in a row Like all Rajshri films, it had a bumper start, with about 100 per cent collection in Mumbai, 85-90% per cent collection in other centres due to Diwali fever. The film's business has shot up to 90 per cent outside Mumbai after Diwali, which is quite commendable, said Komal Nahata, editor of Film Information. "The trade figures do not surprise us as all Rajshri films with Salman had a bumper start. If the film had not been accepted the business would not have doubled after Diwali. It is breaking all records in the overseas market. It is definitely the biggest hit of the year", Nahata said. Taran Adarsh, editor of Trade Guide, said, "It is a super-duper hit and will definitely turn out to be the biggest hit of the year. I really don't understand why the film took a slow start in UP and Delhi. May be the reason was the music of the film was not that popular. But even in case of Hum Aapke Hain Koun, the music became a hit after the film was released. I am sure the same will be true for HSSH. And the eighth day collection of the film is certainly better than that of the first day". Adarsh admitted though that in the run-up to the festival season, the film did take a beating in the initial stage. Meanwhile, the film, in its first three days of release, grossed $651,575 with 59 prints at the per screen average of $11,043 which is higher than any film in the charts, including the top Hollywood studio films. In the UK, the film was already in the top 10 in the first three days. The trend further seems to indicate that both in the UK and the US the film is likely to climb the charts in the coming weeks and is likely to sustain the tempo longer than Subhash Ghai's Taal.
