SALMAN TOPS 1998

Salman Khan after delivering 3 Super Hits in 1998 and an over- whelming special appearance in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is at the top now. Every trades and box-office reports have specified that Salman is the number 1 star of last year. Salman steals the show and manages to turn films which have been written off, like "Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya", "Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai" and Bandhan into hits. In the case of all three films, the pre-release and post-release trade reports were not encouraging, but they were proved wrong with all of them becoming hits. Salman has truly proved everyone wrong as his starrer's Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya made 3.5 crore per territory, Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai raked 2-2.5 crore per territory while Bandhan ended up doing 1.5-2 crore per territory business and his charming appearance in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is doing 6 crore per territory. With this Salman's popularity and success has taken an unprecedented high.So here's wishing the superstar a lot of luck for 1999.
