Opening of ´Mujhse Shaadi Karogi´ :-

The much hyped ´Mujhse Shaadi Karogi´ opened to a bumper opening in Bombay , while the opening was record breaking outside of Bombay and Maharashtra especially U.P. , Rajasthan , C.I. , Bihar , East Punjab and South , the cricket match saw some fall on Sunday specially in Mysore circuit and Bombay city .

The floods in Maharashtra , Gujarat , Punjab , parts of Central India and the theatres strike in Calcutta on Sunday and the subsequent bandh in West Bengal have all hit the collections of the movie . But a big movie should be powerful enough to overcome all this . It now means that the trade will now have to look for another movie to break ´Main Hoon Na´ first week record and that movie in all probabilities will be Yash Chopra´s untitled Diwali release.

Verdict : - ´Mujhse Shaadi Karogi´ is bound to succeed in most parts of India and will be a safe bet for most of its distributors but the distributors in West Bengal and Mysore circuit will not find it so easy .

The movie has also done very well in the overseas (weekend) getting about 200,000 $ in USA and about £183,000 , getting the best print-average there .
